![]() This will take a bit, but should get you fixed up to play vanilla. Then click on local files and select verify integrity of game files. As for the broken vanilla copy, right click the game from steam, and select properties. Originally posted by Elphame_Gold:The title of your post doesnt seem to match what the post is about. My personal favortie place to get mods is Ĭheck the modding section here in discussions, theres a sticky with some useful links. Now, in regards to what your title asks, the mod launcher seems to be mainly for the larger overhaul mods, but theres a TON of other mods and modlets available. If you used that, then im not sure what else to suggest, other than keep trying, sometimes it just takes a few tries for things to get in order. Its recommended for larger overhaul mods. ![]() Instead of hitting "play mod", use the pre sync button instead. I'd recommend deleting your "darkness falls" folder from your mod launcher files, then trying again. Not sure what happened on your computer, but theres a button on the mod launcher labeled "pre-sync mod". This will take a bit, but should get you fixed up to play vanilla.Īs for the other issue, I use 7d2d mod launcher for darkness falls as well, and have zero issues. ![]() It definitely feels like turbo-mode (might?) be broken to me.The title of your post doesnt seem to match what the post is about. Maybe turbo-mod itself is broken? and is not calculating fuel use properly? Dont know about that one at all, but, maybe that could looked at as well. Sure its nice I have to admit being to fly, or drive around at top speed all day long and barely consume any fuel, but, it could be implemented at a far less generous level and still be useful.Īnother (possible) suggestion would be to make these specific mods permanent to the vehicle once installed. Right now, these two mods, especially when paired, offer near cheat mod fuel consumption for only modest cost and zero downsides once installed. I like both mods being added to the game, but, I really think they could use some tuning. The only real 'cost' imposed, is one single bottleneck crafting item, which your going to acquire no matter, but the resulting boost they offer a way over the top currently. Right now, these two mods, are all upside, with zero downside. Unless you are driving a purpose built fuel truck of course. Anything more presents problems for ANY powered vehicle. Noting next-gen about that.ĥ0% increase in tank size, should also be dialed back Imo to a more modest level. Bigger fuel tanks are not exotic future tech, even if the crafting icon seems to imply this is the case. Also, there is no need to make its crafting component rare, if the bigger fuel tank reduces your usable storage space once installed. Reduced speed is another possibility, but space reduction is really more realistic. I am fine with a bigger fuel tank, but, there should be a trade-off in storage space to balance it out in some way. Adding 50% more fuel to ANY vehicle involves significant trade-offs which, like the Fuel Saver, are not reflected in game in any way. Now, get 50% more fuel (capacity), with zero trade-off other than semi-rare crafting component (Acid). This is one is kinda out of balance too, for similar reasons. The permanent turbo-mod you get when you combine fuel-saver with the reserve tank, sure makes fuel consumption trivial. Which involves significant trade-offs itself needless to say, which again, are not reflected in the game as its structured now. The only (realistic) way, to increase fuel efficiency by 50%, is to massively reduce the weight (mass) of any given vehicle. Right now, with fuel saver, you can turbo all day long and there is really no downside to doing so. A 15-20% savings, would still be (very) desirable and useful. No tech exists that would allow for such dramatic fuel savings as the mod currently allows for. As it stands now, the bonus they offer to fuel reduction\use is overly generous imo.Īt best, or most, it should provided a 15-20% reduction in fuel usage which is both reasonable, and realistic given current engineering. Having used these two new mods now since release ob my L50 chraacter, I have a suggestion for them.
